With more than 300 days a year of sunshine, residents in Monaco can take advantage of the Mediterranean, and all of its seaside activities. Moreover, Monaco's close proximitiy to the Southern Alps, which are only 1 hour away by car, allows for easy access to the ski slopes.

Residents in Monaco, representing 108 different nationalities, can place their children in different schools which are either a part of or affiliated with the Ministry of Education.

The educational program and the diplomas obtained are the same as in France. The only difference in Monaco is that children not only begin learning English in Elementary school, but they are also introduced to the traditional language and history of Monaco. The rate of success for passing the French National Baccalauréat exam is close to 90%.

The sheer number of cultural events each year encourages the learning of artistic disciplines, as does the presence of reputable establishments such as the Rainier III Academy of Music, the Academy of Classical Dance and the Princess Grace Municipal Plastic Art School.

The Stade Louis II of monaco

In the field of sports, residents of Monaco can not only attend international events, but also practice a wide range of disciplines. The Principality is endowed with sports infrastructures which are, in size at least.

The new Louis II Stadium, inaugurated in 1985, hosts First Division French Football Team games, as well as international athletic competitions. The Stadium is equipped for a wide range of sports disciplines including table tennis, boxing, squash, martial arts, weight-lifting, basketball, volleyball and swimming.

The Rainier III Nautical Stadium is a recreational olympic-sized swimming pool with a high diving board.

The Monte-Carlo Country Club hosts on its 40 courts one of the most important tournaments on the professional circuit, many famous tennis players residing in the Principality and, of course, enthusiastic amateurs. Monaco Sports Associations (about 20 federations and more than 50 associations) are managed by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and work in collaboration with the National Sports Commission which determines the amount of annual subsidies.

Monaco hosts on its territory the headquarters of important sports organizations :

  • The ATP tour manages the professional circuit of the tennis
  • The International Association of Athletics Federations which in turn supervises the organization of championships in the world of athletics
  • The General Association of International Sports Federations
  • The International Association of Non-Violent Sports.

The presence of communication infrastructures puts the Principality only 2 hours away from the main European capitals, This same infrastructure allows a dense population of financial establishments to respond to the demands of an exacting clientèle. These points combined with the complete absence of taxation and the climate of total security are what make Monaco such a haven.
